بارك در سدة 8ق/14م و احتمالاً همزمان اميرتيمور لنگ مي‌زيسته است.&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; <br /> <br /> باركزايي‌هاي ايران كه در سيستان و بلوچستان زندگي مي‌كنند، در اوايل سدة 13ق/19م به اين مناطق آمده‌اند و در ميانة اين سده در سيستان استقرار كامل يافته بودند.&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt; نسب اين گروه را به اميرشاهوخان نامي مي‌رسانند كه پس از اختلاف‌هاي طايفگي ميان باركزائي‌هاي مقيم افغانستان، نوادگان او با خانواده‌ها و وابستگانشان به سيستان آمدند و بعدها يكي از آن‌ها به نام ميرباران خان با مردم طايفه‌اش به بلوچستان كوچيدند و به «باران‌زايي» يا «باران‌زهي» معروف شدند.&lt;sup&gt;4&lt;/sup&gt; <br /> <br /> باركزايي‌ها در سراسر بلوچستان ایران و در نواحي سراوان، ايرانشهر، سرباز و زاهدان پراكنده‌اند. شمار تخمینی‌جمعيت آن‌ها را به اختلاف زياد داده‌اند. بنابر سرشماري 1377ش، 55 خانوار از طايفة باران‌زهي سراوان، 11 خانوار از باران‌زهي چابهار و 25 خانوار از طايفة باركزهي ايرانشهر ساکن در بلوچستان كوچ مي‌كردند.&lt;sup&gt;5&lt;/sup&gt; <br /> <br /> در تقسيم‌بندي سازمان ايلي بازگزاهی و باران‌زهی از 6 تا 12 تيره منسوب به این طايفه‌ها نام برده‌اند كه به سبب در آميختگي رده‌بندي تيره‌ها با قشرهاي اجتماعي جامعة بلوچ&lt;sup&gt;*&lt;/sup&gt;، مانند «ارباب» و «دُرزاده» و یا به شمار آوردن برخي خانواده‌هاي باركزايي با نام خانوادگي، این تقسیم‌بندی نادرست مي‌نمايد.&lt;sup&gt;6&lt;/sup&gt;
