زيستگاه اصلي اين طايفه غرب شهرستان بمپور تا هامون جازموريان و جلگة چاه هاشم در منطقة جنوبي دشت دلگان است.<sup>(1)</sup> پس از رانده شدن بامريها به دشت دلگان گروههايي از بامريها در مناطق باهوكلات و دشتياري، دشت كهنو، كارواندر، حوزة رودخانة بمپور، ايرانشهر و خاش و گوهر پشت سكني گزيدند.<sup>(2)</sup> <br />

بامريها به چند تيره مانند، شهدادزايي، عبدالهي، رودينزايي، درّكي، شابكي، (سابكي)، شاه ولي بر تقسيم ميشوند.<sup>(3)</sup> <br />
<br />
تيرة رودينزايي بالاترين لاية اجتماعي بامريهاي دلگان است كه سرداران بامري از آن برخاستهاند.<sup>(4)</sup> <br />
<br />
جمعيت بامريهاي بمپور در آخر سدة 13ش 250 خانوار و بامريهاي دلگان در 1364ش 2170 خانوار بودهاند. امروزه شماري از بامريها در مناطق ايرانشهر و خاش ييلاق و قشلاق ميكنند. در 1377ش عشاير كوچندة بامري 266 خانوار بوده است.<sup>(5)</sup> <br />

بامريها اغلب به دامپروري و زارعت مشغولند. پرورش بهترين شتران تيزرو منطقه مهمترين مشغلة آنهاست.<sup>(6)</sup><br />
