<p><b>صفحهٔ تازه</b></p><div>'''حزب ايران،''' سياسي مركب از شماري از مهندسين آزاديخواه. هسته مركزي حزب. «كانون مهندسين» ايران بود كه در 1321 توسط گروهي از جوانان تحصيل كرده و روشنفكر به وجود آمده بود و با تبديل «كانون مهندسين» به يك سازمان سياسي در فروردين ماه 1322 حزب ايران شكل گرفت.<sup>1</sup> از مؤسسان حزب غلامعلي فريور، كريم سنجابي، احمد زيركزاده (دبير كل) و اصغر پارسا (سخنگوي حزب) و... و روزنامة جبهه ارگان حزب بود.<sup>2</sup> شعار حزب يعني با فكر ايراني، به دست ايراني براي ايران، بيانگر اهداف حزب كه به دنبال اداره كشور به دست طبقه شايسته و تحصيل كرده بود، ميباشد.<sup>3</sup> شركت در كابينه ائتلافي قوام و همكاري با حزب توده در اين كابينه در كنار مبارزه با قرارداد گس ـ گلشائيان و مبارزه با قرارداد قوام ـ ساد چيكف از مهمترين اقدامات اين حزب به شمار ميرود.<sup>4</sup> برخي از رهبران حزب وارد كابينه دكتر محمد مصدق شدند و شاپور بختيار كه از رهبران درجه دو حزب بود هم به نهضت مقاومت ملي پيوست.<sup>5</sup> هر چند اين حزب بعد از خرداد 1342 از هر گونه فعاليتي باز ماند ولي تا پيروزي انقلاب اسلامي به حيات خود ادامه داد<sup>6</sup> و هنوز هم با آنكه رهبران معروف آن فوت كردهاند، پارهاي از هواداران آنها در تلاش و كوشش هستند. <br />
