رضاقليخان طبرستاني متخلص به «هدايت» و مشهور به «لله باشي»، فرزند محمدهادي نوري تهرانيدامغاني از ادبا و مورخان اواخر سدة 13 ق به شمار ميرود.<sup>1</sup> پدرش از مردم چارده كلاته (از توابعهزارجريب) و ملازم جعفرقلي خان فرزند محمد حسنخان قاجار<sup>*</sup> بود.<sup>2</sup> هدايت در تهران زاده شد. در اوايل عمر در بارفروش (بابل) به سر برد. در دو سالگي پدرش را از دست داد و با مادرش به شيرازرفت و جواني خود را در آنجا گذراند.<sup>3</sup> نزد محمدمهدي خان متخلص به «شحنه» تحصيل كرد.نخست تخلص «چاكر» و سپس «هدايت» را برگزيد.<sup>4</sup><br />

پس از مدتي مأمور تربيت عباس ميرزا فرزند فتحعلي شاه قاجار شد و به «لله باشي» شهرت گرفت. در دورة ناصرالدين شاه به سفارت نزد خان خيوه به خوارزم رفت. در بازگشت نايب وزارت علوم ومدير مدرسة دارالفنون گرديد.<sup>5</sup> در 1278 ق از خدمات دولتي بازنشسته شد و به عنوان مربي (للهباشي) مظفرالدين ميرزا وليعهد به آذربايجان رفت. پس از بازگشت از اين سفر در تهران درگذشت.<sup>6</sup> هدايت به تصوف و عرفان گرايش داشت. در تاريخ، لغت و تذكره تأليفاتي مانند: ''اجمل التواريخ (فهرس التواريخ)''، ''اصول الفصول في حصول الوصول'' در عرفان، ''بكتاشنامه (گلستان ارم)''، ''ديوان غزليات''، ''روضةالصفاي ناصري،'' در تكميل ''روضةالصفاي'' ميرخواند، ''رياضالعارفين'' در زندگينامة شاعران و عارفان، ''فرهنگ انجمن آراي ناصري'' در لغت، ''مجمعالفصحا'' در تذكرة شاعران، ''مدارج البلاغه'' در علم بديع، ''مفتاحالكنوز'' در شرح مشكلات اشعار خاقاني و جز آنها را از خود باقي گذاشت.<sup>7</sup> <br />
