<p><b>صفحهٔ تازه</b></p><div>سَمَكِ عيّار، از داستانهاي بلند و عاميانة فارسي در شرح دلاوريها، جوانمرديها، زيركيها و تدابير عيّاري به نام سمك.<sup>1</sup> اين كتاب را فرامرز بن خداداد بن عبدالله كاتب ارجاني از زبان يكي از قصهپردازان عهد به نام صدقة بن ابوالقاسم شيرازي گردآوري و نوشته است.<sup>2</sup> زمان تأليف اصل قصّه و جمع و تدوين آن روشن نيست، اما با توجه به وجود اسامي خاص تركي در متن كتاب، ميتوان تاريخ تدوين آن را در اواخر دوران سلجوقي (429-700ق / 1037-1300م) دانست. قهرمان داستان، خورشيد شاه پسر شاه حلب و نوادة دختري شاه عراق است كه به دنبال دلبستگي به دختر فغفورشاه چين، به جنگ پادشاه ماچين ميرود.<sup>3</sup> ''سمك عيار'' با اشتمال بر هزاران نكتة اجتماعي، فلسفي و اخلاقي، كتابي سودمند به شمار ميرود و خواننده را با بسياري از افكار و معتقدات و آداب و رسوم مردمان سدههاي 3-6ق / 9-14م<sup>4</sup> بهويژه اوضاع اجتماعي سدههاي 6 و 7 / 14 و 15م آشنا ميكند.<sup>5</sup> سبك آن ساده و روان و از لحاظ قواعد لغوي و دستوري استوار است.<sup>6</sup> اگرچه بيشتر وقايع كتاب در چين و ماچين ميگذرد، ولي قرائني چون وجه تسميةخورشيد شاه و اشارة ''تاريخ سيستان'' به وجود دو قبيلة سمكي و صدقي در سيستان، نشان ميدهد كه اين داستان كاملاً ايراني است.<sup>7</sup> ''سمك عيار'' دور از هرگونه ابتذال و سرشار از شوخي، عشق، رزم، رنگ و موسيقي است.<sup>8</sup> نسخة يگانهاي از اين داستان سه جلدي به شمارههاي 379، 380 و 381 در كتابخانة بادلين آكسفورد نگهداري ميشود.<sup>9</sup> پرويز ناتل خانلري متن كامل آن را تصحيح و به ترتيب از سال 1338ش به بعد در 5 جلد چاپ كرد و تا كنون چند بار سمك عيار تجديد چاپ شده است.<br />
