<p>صفحه‌ای تازه حاوی «&#039;&#039;&#039;عبدالرّحمان صوفي&#039;&#039;&#039;، ابوالحسين عبدالرحمان بن عمر صوفي رازي، (293ق / 903م ـ 376ق / 986م). صوفي در ميانة سدة4ق در شيراز و در دربار آل بويه* به رصد ستارگان مشغول بود. در 353 قمري موقعيت و «قَدْر» (= درخشندگي ظاهري) ستارگان 48 صورت فلكي شناخته شده تا آن روزگار،...» ایجاد کرد</p> <p><b>صفحهٔ تازه</b></p><div>&#039;&#039;&#039;عبدالرّحمان صوفي&#039;&#039;&#039;، ابوالحسين عبدالرحمان بن عمر صوفي رازي، (293ق / 903م ـ 376ق / 986م). صوفي در ميانة سدة4ق در شيراز و در دربار آل بويه* به رصد ستارگان مشغول بود. در 353 قمري موقعيت و «قَدْر» (= درخشندگي ظاهري) ستارگان 48 صورت فلكي شناخته شده تا آن روزگار، و نيز مختصات چند ستاره را كه براي يونانيان ناشناخته بود با دقتي به مراتب بيش از بطلميوس در كتاب مشهور &#039;&#039;صور الكواكب&#039;&#039;  گرد آورد. از همه مهم‌تر دقت كم نظير صوفي در تعيين ميزان روشنايي ستارگان، دانشمندان اروپايي دو قرن اخير را قادر ساخت تا با مقايسة نتايج او و بطلميوس و نيز وضعيت فعلي روشنايي اين ستارگان، تغييرات بسيار كندي را كه در درخشندگي برخي ستارگان وجود دارد بررسي كنند. در اين ميان گزارش دقيق صوفي دربارة تغيير رنگ برخي ستارگان مانند رأس الغول[1] و غيره بسيار مهم است. بسياري از نقشه‌هاي نجومي و كره‌هاي فلكي ساخته شده در اروپاي سده‌هاي ميانه مبتني بر اطلاعات &#039;&#039;صور الكواكب&#039;&#039; بود. در واقع از 964 ميلادي تا سال 1843 ميلادي كه كتاب جهان سنجي نوين[2] آرْگِلانْدِر[3] (ستاره شناس برجستة آلماني) در برلين منتشر شد، كتاب صوفي تنها مأخذ معتبر همة ستاره‌شناسان شرق و غرب بشمار مي‌رفت. در سدة 13 ميلادي &#039;&#039;صور الكواكب&#039;&#039; (و 19 كتاب نجومي ديگر دورة اسلامي) به فرمان آلفونسوي[4] دهم، پادشاه نواحي مسيحي‌نشين اسپانيا (در آن زمان بخش مهمي از اسپانيا مسلمان نشين بود) به زبان كاستيلي[5] (اسپانيايي كهن) ترجمه شد. يك قرن بعد اين ترجمه به ايتاليايي و اندكي بعد از آن به لاتيني ترجمه شد. در سال 1831 ميلادي نيز متن عربي و ترجمة فرانسة مقدمة مهم اين اثر منتشر شد. در سال 1874 ميلادي نيز ترجمة فرانسة تمام كتاب به همراه بخش‌هايي از متن عربي آن در سن پترزبورگ منتشر گرديد. در مقدمة اين ترجمه، همة اعدادي كه بطلميوس، عبدالرحمان صوفي و آرگلاندر براي قدر ستارگان مختلف ارائه داده‌اند با يكديگر مقايسه شده است. اين مقايسات نشان از آن دارد كه عبدالرحمان صوفي حدوداً 900 سال پيش از آرگلاندر و با چشم غير مسلح، در بسياري موارد دقيقاً يا تقريباً به همان نتايج آرگلاندر رسيده است! اما تفاوت ميان نتايج بطلميوس و نتايج آرگلاندر گاه بسيار زياد است.&lt;sup&gt;1&lt;/sup&gt;<br /> <br /> عبدالرحمان صوفي همچنين براي نخستين بار اثري بسيار مهم دربارة دسته‌اي از ترسيمات هندسي نوشت كه در ضمن هر ترسيم دهانة پرگار ثابت مي‌ماند. بوزجاني* نيز چند سال پس از وي در كتاب اعمال هندسي خود به همين ترسيمات توجه كرد. بسياري از هندسه‌دانان برجستة اروپايي احتمالا با الهام از نوشته‌هاي اين دو، آثاري دربارة اين گونه ترسيمات نوشتند.&lt;sup&gt;(2)&lt;/sup&gt; <br /> <br /> <br /> &#039;&#039;&#039;مآخذ:&#039;&#039;&#039; <br /> <br /> 1-     كرامتي، يونس. &#039;&#039;&#039;كارنامة ايرانيان&#039;&#039;&#039;. تهران: 1380، ص 74-78. <br /> <br /> 2-     كرامتي، يونس. «بوزجاني»، &#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;دايرة المعارف بزرگ اسلامي&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;. ج 12، ص 727-737. <br /> <br /> <br /> یونس کرامتی<br /> ----[1].
