فرامرزي نخست در 1306 ''مجله تقدّم'' را با همكاري برادرش احمد تأسيس كرد و برخي از مقالات آن را شخصاً خود مينوشت. در سال اول مجلة تقدم هشت شماره منتشر كرده است. فرامرزي از 1320 با همكاري دكتر مصطفي مصباحزاده روزنامة كيهان را راه انداخت چندي مدير آن بود و سپس سردبير آن شد و تا پايان زندگي همچنان سردبير روزنامه بود و اكثر سرمقالهها را خود مينوشت (صدرهاشمي، 2/134)، يغمايي همانجا). وي سپس به وكالت دادگستري پرداخت و در دورة 15 به نمايندگي مجلس شورا انتخاب گرديد. (صدرهاشمي 2/134). فرامرزي روزنامهنگاري شجاع بود و در مواقع لزوم افكار و منويات خود را با نهايت شجاعت و صراحت مينوشت. چنانكه مقالة او تحت عنوان «من از تكرار تاريخ ميترسم» در دفاع از ملت فلسطين كه در 1348ش در مجلة يغما به چاپ رسيد غوغايي برانگيخت و در چند دَه هزار نسخه تجديد چاپ شد. عبدالرحمن فرامرزي در تير ماه 1351ش در تهران درگذشت.<br />
