نخستين كتاب دربارة تاريخ ورود عكاسي به ايران و مجموعه‌اي از عكس‌هاي آلبوم خانة كاخ گلستان. <br /> <br /> اين كتاب به همت بدري آتاباي (خواجه نوري) در خرداد ماه 1357ش منتشر شد. اين فهرست، دهمين فهرست از مجموعه‌ كتاب‌هايي است كه به معرفي و ارائة آثار گنجينة كتابخانة سلطنتي كاخ گلستان پرداخته است. در اين كتاب، شرح مختصري دربارة دستگاه عكسبرداري، چگونگي ورود دستگاه عكاسي به كشور ايران و مطالبي راجع به آشنايي و علاقة ناصرالدين شاه به عكاسي، اسامي عكاسان نامدار دورة ناصري و پس از آن و شرح‌هاي مختصري دربارة فن جلدسازي نقاشخانة مباركة ناصري و مجموعة موجود در آلبوم‌خانة كاخ گلستان ارائه شده است. <br /> <br /> كتاب در برگيرندة آگاهي‌هاي سودمندي دربارة چگونگي عكس‌ها و آلبوم‌هاي موجود در آلبوم‌خانة گلستان و بحث‌هاي تاريخي مربوط به آنهاست. حدود 1039 آلبوم شامل 42132 عكس در اين كتاب فهرست شده، كه بر اساس شباهت ميان عكس‌ها در 8 موضوع دسته‌بندي شده است.<br /> <br /> اين اثر از نظر پيشگامي در نگارش موارد عمده‌اي دربارة تاريخ عكاسي ايران و آگاهي‌هاي سودمندي كه به پژوهشگران مي‌دهد، و نيز به سبب اينكه نخستين كتاب دربارة تاريخ عكاسي ايران است، از اهميت بسيار زيادي برخوردار است. <br /> <br /> در اين كتاب همچنين حدود 250 عكس از دوران‌هاي مختلف تاريخ عكاسي در ايران به چاپ رسيده است كه از نظر اسنادي، اهميت كتاب را دو چندان كرده است.&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt;
