<p><b>صفحهٔ تازه</b></p><div>'''لارك،''' جزيرهاي در تنگة هرمز، از توابع بخش شهاب شهرستان قشم در استان هرمزگان،<sup>1</sup> با موقعيت جغرافيايي بين َ49 ْ26 تا َ53 ْ26 عرض شمالي و َ19 ْ56 تا َ25 ْ56 طول شرقي،<sup>2</sup> در 37 كيلومتري جنوب شرقي بندرعباس و 14 كيلومتري جنوب شرقي جزيرة قشم. اين جزيرة بيضي شكل داراي قطرهاي 5/10 كيلومتر و 5 كيلومتر و 7/48 كيلومتر مربع مساحت و بلندترين نقطة آن از سطح دريا 142 متر است.<sup>3</sup> جزيرة لارك تنها جزيرة متعلق به ايران است كه به كانال آبهاي عميق تنگة هرمز كه همواره كشتيهاي غولپيكر نفتكش از آنجا عبور ميكند، نزديك است<sup>4</sup> و به لحاظ استراتژيك داراي اهميت است. اين جزيره كه از گنبدهاي نمكي تشكيل شده و داراي زميني شني است، برابر سرشماري 1375ش تعداد 459 تن جمعيت داشته كه در سكونتگاههاي لارك شهري زندگي ميكردند و لارك كوهي و مونه خالي از سكنه ميباشد.<sup>5</sup> <br />
