ابوالشرف ناصح بن ظفر جرفادقاني از ادبا و مترجمان تواناي عهد سلاجقه بود.<sup>1</sup> در خدمت برخي از مماليك اتابكان آذربايجان به سر ميبرد. در نظم و نثر فارسي تبحر داشت. به دانشهاي رايج زمان از جمله تفسير و نيز مطالعة كتاب علاقه ميورزيد. او مانند بيشتر دانشمندان و مردم روزگار خويش بر مذهب تسنن بود.<sup>2</sup> در 630ق / ؟م ''تاريخ يميني'' يا ''تاريخ عتبي'' (412ق/ ؟م) اثر ابونصر محمد عتبي (د 427ق/ ؟م) را از عربي به فارسي برگرداند.<sup>3</sup> اين برگردان در شمار بهترين آثار مصنوع و مزين در ادب فارسي است.<sup>4</sup> ''ترجمة تاريخ يميني''<sup>*</sup> از لحاظ فصاحت و استحكام پايه با اصل عربي آن برابري ميكند. سبك آن هم تقليدي از ''كليله و دمنه''<sup>*</sup> است، با اين تفاوت كه گاه سجع نيز در آن به كار رفته است.<sup>5</sup> از ديگر آثار ناصح جرفادقاني ميتوان: ''تحفةالآفاق في محاسن اهل العراق'' و دو مجموعة شعر به نامهاي ''روضةالحزن'' ''و شعلةالقابس'' را ذكر كرد. قطعاتي از اين دو مجموعه به زبانهاي عربي و فارسي در آثار برخي از نويسندگان آمده است.<sup>6</sup> به تصريح خودش مجموعههاي شعري او نزديك به 2000 بيت را دربر دارد. ''تاريخ آلعباس'' را نيز كه يكي از مآخذ ''تاريخ نگارستان'' است، به ناصح جرفادقاني نسبت دادهاند.<sup>7</sup> <br />
