<p><b>صفحهٔ تازه</b></p><div>'''ني يا ناي''' از خانوادة سازهاي هوا صداي<sup>*</sup> برون زبانه است و از جمله سازهاي كهن در همة تمدنها ميباشد. اين ساز را ميتوان در اندازهها و شكلهاي گوناگون درهمة فرهنگها مشاهده نمود. ني يا ناي را ميتوان مبداً و منشاء بسياري از سازهاي هوا صدا دانست كه از آن بسياري از سازهاي هوا صدا منشعب شدهاند. اين ساز تقريباً در ميان همة اقوام نواحي مختلف ايران رايج و با نامهايي چون ني،ناي، لَلهِ، لَلهِوا، لُلهِ، لُوله، لبك، دَمكش، شمشال، نَل، زَل و ... شناخته ميشود. جنس اصلي اين ساز از نيهاي روئيده در نيستان است. معمولاً قسمتي از نيِ خام مورد استفاده قرار ميگيرد كه داراي هفت بند يا گره درفواصل مورد نياز باشد. در عين حال ني از مواد ديگري چون چوب، لولههاي برنجي، فولادي، آلومنيمي و پلاستيكي نيز ساخته ميشود. نيهاي رايج در نواحي مختلف ايران معمولاً داراي چهار سوراخ صوتي در جلو و يك سوراخ صوتي در پشت است امّا در برخي مناطق ايران ني داراي پنج سوراخ صوتي در جلو ميباشد. شمشال كردستان استثنائاً داراي شش سوراخ صوتي در جلو است. نيهاي مورد استفاده در موسيقي دستگاهي ايران<sup>*</sup> نيز داراي پنج سوراخ صوتي در جلو است. در همة نواحي ايران ني با لب نواخته ميشود امّا در موسيقي تركمني و به تبع آن بخشي از موسيقي شمال خراسان ني با سنّت مغولي با دندان نواخته ميشود. در موسيقي دستگاهي ايران نيز از دورهي نايب اسدالله<sup>*</sup> ني با دندان نواخته ميشود. در موسيقي روستايي و عشايري ايران، ني، سازي چوپاني، شباني و سارباني محسوب ميشود كه غالباً به هنگام كارهاي مربوط به دامداري نواخته ميگردد. در برخي از موارد، علاوه بر مورد ذكر شده از ني در مجالس عروسي و شادماني و محافل اُنس و گاه در موسيقي به ويژه تعزيه نيز استفاده ميشود. در موسيقي نواحي ايران ني غالباً به تنهايي نواخته ميشود و گاه همراهي كننده آواز ميباشد. در عين حال در برخي از قطعات ممكن است كه از همراهي دايره<sup>*</sup> و ندرتاً تمبك<sup>*</sup> استفاده شود. در موسيقي دستگاهي ايراني، ني به تنهايي و برحسب نياز همراه با تمبك و يا در قالب گروههاي متشكل از سازهاي ايراني مورد استفاده قرار ميگيرد.<br />
