text-decoration: none;">شونیزی صغیر،</ins>&lt;sup&gt;3&lt;/sup&gt; <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">که </ins>نام گورستان <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">پای قدیم </ins>بغداد بود، <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">نامیده می‌شد</ins>.&lt;sup&gt;4&lt;/sup&gt; جسد امام <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">کاظم</ins>(ع) <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">نیز </ins>در آنجا به <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">خاک </ins>سپرده شد و بعد از آن به مقابر <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">قریش تبدیل گردید</ins>.&lt;sup&gt;5&lt;/sup&gt; <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">کاظمین </ins>خواستگاه فرقۀ <ins style="font-weight: bold; <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">اکنون </ins>(1327ش) پنجاه هزار <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">ساکن </ins>دارد <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">که </ins>عموماً <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">شیعۀ </ins>دوازده <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">امامی </ins>بر <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">طریقۀ اصولین، </ins>قائل به اجتهاد و <ins style="font-weight: bold; كاظمين خواستگاه فرقۀ جعفري و محل تمركز علماي شيعه و يكي از مشاهد مقدسۀ كشور عراق به حساب مي‌آيد.&lt;sup&gt;6&lt;/sup&gt; مرقد امام هفتم و نهم در مركز اين شهر واقع است.&lt;sup&gt;7&lt;/sup&gt; اكنون (1327ش) پنجاه هزار ساكن دارد كه عموماً شيعۀ دوازده امامي بر طريقۀ اصولين، قائل به اجتهاد و تقليد، هستند. اهل سنت و جماعت در اين شهر محدودند.&lt;sup&gt;8&lt;/sup&gt; به گفتۀ ميرزا عباس فيض، صاحب تاريخ كاظمين، موسي بن جعفر(ع) به باب الحوائج مشهور است و اين عامل موجب توجه خاص و عام به مجاورت مشهد دو امام گرديده است.&lt;sup&gt;9&lt;/sup&gt; شيعيان هندي و ايراني حداكثر تلاش خود را براي برپايي ساختمان زيارتگاه اين دو امام مي‌كردند.&lt;sup&gt;10&lt;/sup&gt; اما دگرگوني‌هاي دوران باعث ويراني آنها مي‌شد و مجدد با اقدام سريع شيعيان، ويراني‌ها آباد مي‌شد، تا جاي كه كاظمين را به شهر مبدل ساخت.&lt;sup&gt;11&lt;/sup&gt; آنچه امروز ديده مي‌شود حاصل تلاش صدها سالۀ شيعيان است.&lt;sup&gt;12&lt;/sup&gt; قدمت اين شهر كمتر از سه قرن بوده.&lt;sup&gt;13&lt;/sup&gt; و به چهار بخش اصلي تقسيم مي‌شود: 1- محلۀ 2- الشيوخ 3- محله دباغ خانه 4- محله قطانه.&lt;sup&gt;14&lt;/sup&gt; نزديكي به دجله، بالا بودن سطح آب و طغيان رود، باعث سست شدن زمين كاظمين و از بين رفتن بناهاي تاريخي اين شهر، جزء مرقد امامين شده است.&lt;sup&gt;15&lt;/sup&gt;
